A pond where time moves differently
The dial imagines a clear pond hidden deep within a quiet forest. Red and white koi circle through the scene while trees and water sit at different visual depths. Time is still moving, but it no longer feels like a set of marks around the edge of a dial.

From an illustration to a working dial
The pond is not a single flat image. Its trees, water, koi and time markings are separated across transparent layers with different levels of opacity. Printing the elements separately allows the foreground and background to overlap without losing clarity.
